I started diving in 1998. It's been a wild ride with scuba diving ever since! I started a travel agency in 1997 and booked a cruise the following summer. Troy was ok with going on the cruise but wondered what we planned on doing when we were in port. That’s when he suggested learning to scuba dive. We spent a long weekend in Oklahoma at Lake Tenkiller with Nautical Adventures and learned to dive. My husband and I both completed several levels of training and he went on to become a Master Instructor, cave and technical Diver. I finished my Divemaster in 2001 so that I could help with training students. We had a private scuba instruction service out of our home for a year or so and then I opened a scuba diving shop in 2002. Watching a new diver discover a world that was unreachable before is one of the best feelings. I also love to video and take pictures underwater and if I had my way I would hover around a coral head for a whole dive just to watch the fish interact with each other. I have traveled and dove in Grand Cayman, Honduras, Mexico, the Bahamas, the coast of New York, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas lakes, Flower Gardens in the Gulf of Mexico, and even in Italy as a guest of Mares Dive Supplier. I am an avid conservationist, and have recently become interested in bringing awareness to clean drinking water and sanitation around the world. I am an also a travel agent with IARTD and hold certifications with Cruise Line International Association as a Accredited Cruise Counselor, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Bahamas Travel specialist.
